Anna Laub’s travel guide for New York Fashion Week

New York is one of our favourite cities in the world – high energy, inspiring with always something new to do and see around every corner. To kick off NY Fashion week here are our tips on how to enjoy New York to the fullest!

Where to Stay:

The Walker Hotel – This boutique hotel in the heart of Greenwich Village is the newest addition to New York’s list of homely but cool places to stay. We love the location for its easy access to every part of downtown and it’s locals are really the heart of old school New York. The restaurant and bar here are also great.

What to Do:

Central Park is the perfect place to take some time off and relax if the weather’s good. If you are feeling inspired after a show, visit any of the amazing museums. A secret tip: the Metropolitan Museum – one of our favourites – always commission artists to do installations on the roof and this season Argentinian artist Adrián Villar Rojas has created ‘ The Theatre of Disappearance’. It’s only on until the end of October so take the chance to see it before it’s gone. It also simultaneously provides one of the most spectacular views on the Manhattan skyline you’ll ever see.

Where to Drink:

For drinks check out downtown manhattan’s new hotspot – The Flower Shop. No it doesn’t do what it says on the tin – but you can eat and drink till your heart’s content.

Where to Shop:

Bergdorf Goodman – the classic uptown New York shopping experience isn’t one to miss. and for New York fashion week, illustrious stylist Giovanna Battaglia has taken over the windows – with her pick of it all.

If you are missing a pair of sunglasses our top pick for you would be the PRISM x Tina Leung collab Calvi sunglasses!
