For fashion – The Corner Store: Französischestrasse 40; Murkudis: Postdamerstrasse 80 and don’t miss the Flea Market: Strasse 17 Juni.
Where to hide out:
Berlin ZOO is a great break and a nice place to just chill out.
Where to Eat:
Favorite all time and just classic for lunch is Brochardt, Franz Strasse 47 , Mitte. Another Favorite for dinner is Grill Royal on Friedrichstrasse. Edd’s Thai on Lutzowstrasse 81 is also great. Any Curry Wurst Stand is always reliable past midnight after a long night of drinking and last minute hunger – a classic for all Germans! Pauly Saal is another great spot for some food or just a drink at Auguststrasse 11-13
Where to drink:
Berghain is a must for the seasoned clubber – but only go around 2-3am!! The Soho House Berlin is a great place to have a late drink and late diner if everything is closed.
What to Do:
Galerie Weekend is one of my favourite time to go because it is not only inspirational but great diner and party and the weather is always at it best behaviour. This is around the second week of April. There are so many great galleries to visit but a few which always on my list to not missed are: Between Bridges, this is a non profit exhibition space set up by Wolfgang Tillmans and there are always a great and alternative exhibition. BQ Galerie; Boros Private Contempary Collection: Reinhardstrasse 20 Berlin Mitte; Daniel Bucholz Berlin Galerie; Contempary Fine Arts; Johann König/ St. Agnes Galerie: Alexandrinerstrasse 118- 121
Where to Have Fun:
Rent a Bike; Berlin by bike is wonderful and safe because of the infrastructure of the bike lanes and traffic regulations. A day tour to visit many of its wonderful palaces like, Charlottenburg Palace, Schönhausen Palace and Prusssian Palace and Gardens. A boat tour or if you have a local friend escape to the country side by boat from inside Berlin. One gets a different view and beauty of the city completely.
