PRISM Takeover: Set Designer Robert Storey, #PRISMGOESEAST

Blog

PRISM is all about celebrating creativity, so we invited a few of our favourite London-based creatives to curate their PRISM world. Read on to discover London through set designer Robert Storey’s unique lens.

Robert Storey is a revered set and spacial designer who has worked with everyone from Louis Vuitton to Kenzo. Part of the PRISM family, Rob designed the PRISM London flagship store on Chiltern Street. A longtime East London resident, Rob knows where best to go & what best to wear when you’re there.

Rob recommends starting your East London meander at the PRISM pop-up shop on Redchurch Street – open until May 15th, then mingle with the locals at the Royal Oak pub on Columbia Road before taking in some art at Bethnal Green gallery Maureen Paley. The gallery’s exhibited works by internationally acclaimed artists including Wolfgang Tillmans, Gillian Wearing and Rebecca Warren and is a great place to see and support works by emerging artists. Now head up to Momosan on Wilton Way in Hackney, for unique hand-crafted homewares. Finish your day a cab ride away towards Clapton, where you’ll find Uchi – locally prepared sushi that Rob can’t recommend highly enough!

Rob picks largely unisex pieces that suit any face shape, and a PRISM bag – the perfect gift, for his PRISM selects.

See Rob’s takeover and others play out on Instagram and see the installation in-store at PRISM, 42 Redchurch Street, London E2 7DP. Open May 5th – 15th, Monday – Saturday: 11am – 7pm, Sunday: 11am – 5pm. #PRISMGOESEAST
